as U like it (2018)
Iseman Theatre, New Haven CT
by Em Weinstein and Michael Breslin
Songs by Julian Hornik
We split a black box theatre into two spaces; a three-quarter thrust space for the ultra fascist, oppressive court of Duke Frederich, and and immersive rock concert jungle for the Forest of Arden, with the audience moving between the two.
I arranged Julian’s songs for a four-piece rock band, and directed the music for the show. I designed a multi-space sound system to allow for multiple presentational angles, vocal reinforcement in an immersive environment, music reinforcement, and environmental content. I also composed music for the fascist court.
